Intermittent Distance Exotropia INDEX

Intermittent Distance Exotropia (IXT) is a type of exotropia, a condition where one eye drifts outward. In IXT, the outward deviation occurs intermittently, typically when focusing on distant objects or when the patient is tired, unwell, or daydreaming. Unlike constant exotropia, the alignment of the eyes may appear normal at times, especially when the patient focuses attention or during near vision tasks.
